Healthier Cinnamon Doughnuts

Cooking time: 10 minutes


2 cups plain flour

2 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt

½ cup Norbu

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

¾ cup milk

2 tbs butter, melted

¼ cup butter, melted

¼ cup Norbu

2 tsp cinnamon


1.     Preheat to 165C

2.     Grease a doughnut mould tray and set aside.

3.     In a large bowl sift in the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the Norbu. Add the eggs, vanilla, milk and stir to combine. Add the melted butter and stir until smooth.

4.     Fill each doughnut cup until almost full. Bake for about 10 minutes until doughnuts spring back when touched. Allow to cool before removing from pan. Use a knife or spatula to loosen the donuts.

5.     Have the melted butter ready and combine the cinnamon and Norbu on a plate.

6.     Dunk the doughnuts in the butter and then roll in the cinnamon/Norbu mixture. Set aside.
